Who are we ?

Paraweb.net was created in December 2005 by Eric Parachini (StreamingMedia Expert). In the space of just a few years time we have established ourselves as one of the forerunners in the streaming market providing our services to a prestigious clientele consisting of many large corporations.

Whether you need advice, captation, production or streaming of broadcasts/transmissions, Paraweb.net will take charge of your audiovisual projects for the Net offering you a wide range of services such as multi-format and bitrate encoding, a multimedia graphics studio, editing rooms and a fully equipped webcast facility.

Technical Infrastructure
At Paraweb.net we are fully equipped with all the latest technology enabling us to respond effectively to the needs of the audiovisual and computer worlds which come together in the activity of streaming. Both our hardware and software have been designed to accommodate and facilitate new production methods linked to streaming. Our encoding unit is designed to deal with high volume media content and we have a multi-format , multi-debit encoding capacity of up to 2200 hours per week.

Streaming
Streaming may be used for several different applications but what makes it particularly interesting is the fact that it can be used to target a public which is very different from the mass television audience. Unlike television which is broadcast on a wide scale and aimed at a collective audience, surfing on the internet is a solitary activity. The content viewed by a surfer is far more specific than the general content of a television program, for example the surfer can choose a sports site, then a particular sport, a team , a player and so on.

The programs may address several thousand surfers spread out geographically and be broadcast live at a given moment in time or be pre-recorded and relayed later.

The programs are interactive as they may be combined with other more "traditional" web services such as chat rooms and forums, e-mail, e-commerce and browsers.…

This method of broadcasting has become an invaluable tool for information and news gathering.

In the same way as special interest magazines have found markets beside the general press, Streaming has allowed highly specialized theme channels (Narrowcast) to develop alongside traditional mass audience ones (Broadcast).
